From building certification under the leading international standards—LEED, WELL, BREEAM, SITES and others—to the development of ESG strategies and reporting pathways, we help our clients turn sustainability objectives into tangible, measurable results.

Vision
The impact of buildings and products on the environment is significant, and balancing the environmental, social and economic dimensions—the triple bottom line—is no longer sufficient. An innovative approach is needed for new construction, alongside a regenerative approach for existing buildings, in order to repair environmental damage for the benefit of future generations.
Mission
Founded in 2012, Macro Design Studio was established with the aim of providing holistic sustainability consultancy services. Our purpose is to go beyond the triple bottom line and guide organisations, investors, real estate operators, developers, designers and construction companies towards a new vision of buildings, society and communities: fair, inclusive and capable of generating a positive impact on the environment.
Macro Design Studio is a consultancy specialising in sustainable building certifications and decarbonisation. We support organisations, investors, real estate operators, developers, designers and construction companies across Italy and Europe in their sustainability journeys and ESG strategies.
We provide consultancy services for building certification under the leading international rating systems, including LEED, BREEAM, WELL, SITES, Fitwel and the Living Building Challenge. We also act as a Commissioning Authority for building systems and envelopes.
We carry out on-site testing to assess building performance and indoor environmental quality, including indoor air quality analyses, blower door tests, thermographic surveys and acoustic testing. As a WELL Performance Testing Organization and WELL Enterprise Provider, we perform WELL Performance Verification for WELL certification, ongoing compliance and recertification.
We also support organisations and SMEs through strategic consultancy focused on the application of ESG criteria, including VSME, gender equality, Benefit Corporation impact reports and sustainability reporting.
