On Wednesday, November 12, 2025, Madrid became a center for vision and innovation during WAS Circulamos, the fourth edition of the event promoted by Women Action Sustainability (WAS), the Spanish association that fosters female leadership in sustainability. Hosted at CIEC, the initiative reaffirmed a clear message: sustainability is at the heart of a necessary and unstoppable change.
Paola Moschini‘s participation in the panel “Diseñar para Circular: Creatividad que Transforma Materia y Modelo (Design for Circularity: Creativity that Transforms Matter and Models) was an opportunity to share her fifteen years of experience in sustainability at an event that fully reflects the values of Macro Design Studio. The debate, moderated by Mariana Gramunt, CEO of T Neutral, highlighted how creativity can drive the circular economy by integrating innovation, aesthetics, and responsibility. The panel also included other prominent figures:
-
Xavier Ribera, Director of Communication, Institutional Relations, and Sustainability at BASF.
-
Marta Foncillas, CEO of Revolución Limo.
-
Mónica Muriel, CEO of NEST Solutions.
The event was attended not only by industry professionals but also by university students, who emphasized the importance of rethinking the entire product lifecycle and shifting from an extractive to a regenerative model, where waste becomes a resource.
The role of dialogue between companies and universities emerged as a powerful engine for change and a pathway to accelerate concrete solutions toward a more equitable economy. Madrid confirmed that the transition to circularity requires collective action, intelligent material management, ecosystem regeneration, and more responsible consumption.
We leave WAS Circulamos with the certainty that diversity is a resource and that design remains one of the most powerful tools for building the future we desire.
