Last week, Paola Moschini and Luisa Tonelli traveled to Athens for a key milestone in the LEED for Homes certification journey: the mid-construction visit at the Ellinikon construction site.
Since 2022, Macro Design Studio is involved in the project of the Coastal Front Condos as LEED for Homes Green Rater and LEED AP Homes.
“The construction works of the 21 condominiums are entering their final phase, with the goal of achieving LEED for Homes Multifamily Lowrise certification by next year, as a result that confirms the quality of the teams involved and the organizational capability of LAMDA Development S.A.” says Luisa Tonelli.
During the site visit, field inspections were carried out and the preliminary Blower Door Test was performed, both essential activities to verify the performance of the building envelope and ensure high standards of energy efficiency and indoor comfort.
The project is part of the Ellinikon masterplan, one of the largest urban regeneration projects in Europe, set to transform 6.2 million square meters of the former Athens airport into a new sustainable city.
