The quality and healthiness of living spaces is a topical issue. The LEED for Residential certification, promoted by USGBC and aimed specifically at the residential market, allows to achieve and guarantee high levels of environmental sustainability and indoor well-being in our homes.

Through a careful design, LEED certified homes can be built without additional costs compared to traditional buildings and guarantee an improvement in the quality of life and occupant comfort. LEED certified buildings also have greater market appeal, which results in higher prices and faster sales/rental.

The LEED for Residential protocol differs from other LEED rating systems due to the low registration and certification costs and the simplified certification process thanks to the introduction of the in-the field verifier: the LEED for Homes Green Rater.

The LEED for Homes Green Rater is a professional accredited through a training process, who liaises with the design and construction team and interfaces with the American verification body GBCI, providing the necessary documentation and evidence of on-site verification.

Macro Design Studio has believed and invested in the LEED protocol for the residential market since 2016. Macro Design Studio’s team is made up of professionals with LEED AP Homes credentials and arch. Paola Moschini currently is the only Italian LEED Green Rater and works at European level directly for GBCI.

Over the years, Macro Design Studio has gained a lot of experience in LEED for Homes certified projects, including Palazzo Novecento, the first LEED for Homes Platinum in Europe.
