In Washington DC at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center from Sept. 26-29, it takes place GREENBUILD 2023: BUILDING TRANSFORMATION, the world’s largest event for professionals of the sustainable construction sector, featuring educational sessions, tours and workshops.
This year, Greenbuild’s theme highlights the decades-long legacy and unwavering commitment of the green building movement to transforming the built environment to serve, prepare and protect our communities in a rapidly changing world.
“We have a lot to commemorate at Greenbuild – not only is it USGBC’s 30th anniversary, we also plan to debut the next version of the LEED green building program – LEED v5, to support the built environment in addressing critical imperatives including decarbonization, equity, health, biodiversity and resilience,” said Peter Templeton, president and CEO, USGBC. “It is always a special moment attending Greenbuild. First of all for the interesting educational sessions, the GBCI working zone and the networking with people of all over the world, but mostly for this sense of being part of this community that is transforming the world of sustainability” say Paola Moschini and Luisa Tonelli from Washington DC.
