The ‘Brancati’ school excels in energy-environmental efficiency, thanks to a building envelope designed to avoid dispersion and prevent overheating thanks to the ventilated wall and solar shielding. The competition included the study of thermo-hygrometric, acoustic, lighting parameters giving great attention to the internal well-being to achieve a healthy environment, welcoming enough to have the best conditions for the study.
Consumption is optimized thanks to a system of automation and remote control of the plants. Attention also to the topics of the circular economy and the healthiness of the environments through monitoring of temperature, humidity, presence of CO2, illuminating factors using dimmed LED lamps with presence sensors in classrooms and a proper air exchange to ensure the intake of air from the outside filtered and purified.
The building was awarded the LEED v4 BD+C for School livello Platino certification in 2020, the first in Europe!
