Certification fees 2023: price increases for LEED®, BREEAM® and RESET®
March 29, 2023 MDS

The year 2023 will mark an increase in certification and registration fees for LEED, BREEAM and RESET certification standards. These increments are in part driven by the general increase in prices for the entire construction industry and will serve to ensure the highest quality of services provided at all times, and to provide access to new tools useful for achieving certification goals.

LEED

On May 1, 2023, GBCI will make an increase of 12% on average for LEED registration and certification prices for the following rating systems:

  • Building Design and Construction (BD+C)
  • Interior Design and Construction (ID+C)
  • Building Operations and Maintenance (O+M)
  • Neighborhood Development (ND)
  • Cities and Communities

Projects can freeze the current LEED certification and registration prices by prepaying the fees by April 30. Furthermore, starting from May 1, LEED-registered projects will have access to additional features in the ARC platform.

BREEAM

As part of their annual review, BRE announced that they will increase certification, QA and registration fees by about 15% starting April 1, 2023. This rise will affect the following rating systems:

  • BREEAM In-Use,
  • New Construction,
  • Refurbishment and Fit-Out,
  • Communities and assessments HQM.

RESET

Starting from July 1, RESET Project standard fees will increase by 5% for new projects.

The rise will be applied to the price expressed in the currency used in RESET Project Pricing (USD). For all currently active projects, prices will be locked at the actual rates in use.

A page with the new fees has been set up on RESET website to compare them with current fees:
